Commissioner West and I may not see eye to eye on every issue, but on the things that matter most, he has been someone I’ve been able to count on. From building more affordable housing projects like the 500 new units at Hillside to delivering a stabilization center that will serve as a model of recovery-oriented care, I’ve really appreciated working with Commissioner West to deliver for Milwaukie. In an era of divisive politics, I value our ability to find common ground; not as a Republican or a Democrat, but as two people committed to making a difference in our community.
