I’m proud to endorse Commissioner Ben West for re-election to the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners. Through our strong working relationship, I’ve seen firsthand his collaborative spirit, steady leadership, and solutions-oriented approach. Ben consistently shows up for our community, and I’m grateful for the meaningful progress we’ve made together.

Ben has been an amazing advocate for the citizens of Clackamas County in his first term as a County Commissioner. He is a rare politician in this day and age that doesn’t care about party lines, only taking care of those people he swore to represent. Ben listens more than he speaks and has a practical approach to every problem he tackles. The people of Clackamas County have an amazing advocate fighting for their future, and I am proud to be one of those people.

I’m proud to support Clackamas County Commissioner Ben West for reelection. I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with Commissioner West on critical issues surrounding the county’s building permit processes, and his leadership made a real difference. When our projects were being delayed due to procedural bottlenecks, Commissioner West stepped in, brought all the key players into one room, and ensured that concerns were heard and addressed. He held departments accountable, pushed for transparency, and worked collaboratively to make sure solutions were implemented quickly.

His hands-on approach, willingness to listen, and determination to improve county services demonstrated exactly the kind of effective leadership Clackamas County needs. Ben West doesn’t just talk about fixing problems—he shows up, does the work, and delivers results. That’s why he has my full support for reelection.

As a former member of the Happy Valley City Council, I believe that public service requires integrity, balanced judgment, and a non-partisan approach. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Ben West for Clackamas County Commissioner. Ben consistently puts people above politics and demonstrates an unwavering dedication to serving our entire community, not just a party or a platform.

Working with Ben has shown me firsthand that he is a leader of true integrity—honest, hardworking, and deeply committed to collaboration. He listens to every perspective, brings people together, and approaches challenges with fairness and practical solutions. Having worked closely with him, I can say without hesitation that Ben is among the most effective and capable county commissioners I’ve had the privilege of working with, and our community is unquestionably stronger because of his leadership.

Commissioner West has been a steadfast partner in our efforts to serve Clackamas County’s unhoused community. His commitment to practical, compassionate solutions is making a real difference for the people who need it most.

Ben has the drive, know-how, and compassion to lead. Ben has already done so much great work for Clackamas County and I know he will continue to do so.

I would like to thank Commissioner West for his work on this resolution. What it is to me is taking a deep breath — a moment of reflection on the pressing issues of homelessness, addiction, and mental health.

Re: Clackamas Village

Ben West said that while the facility is designed to meet people where they are and get them the help they need, it’s also designed to help them develop the skills they need to secure permanent housing.

I have watched Ben through the County budget process this year and appreciate his passion for the citizens of Clackamas County. Please support Ben’s reelection to the Board of Commissioners.
